Hi I am diagnosed with PTSD, OCD and anxiety. I was on zoloft for about 8 months and gained 25 pounds I went form 108 pounds to 132. I quit taking it about a month ago. My anxiety got bad again so my pain management dr who is my only dr put me on wellbutrin and with in 2 weeks I lost half of that weight gain.
Well on welbutrin my anxity got very bad so I went to a walk in clinic and the Dr prescribed me effexor and a few XANAX to help while I wait for the Effoxor to work. I went to pick them up and could not afford the effexor it was $268. I don't want to get it if its going to slow my weight loss or cause weight gain. He told me it helped people lose weight. From what I read on line that is not what people say They have had weight gain. PLEASE give me your opinion.
If I find out I don't want to risk gaining the weight back what do I do? How do I tell him I think he is wrong and want something better? Do I go to a better dr. He said he specializes in bipolar and social phobia. PLEASE I NEED HELP. I am in 2 weddings in the next few months. I cant gain weight I wont fit in my dress but I cant get out of the house with debilitating anxiety.
